An inter-university competition on corporate law was held in May, during which students were offered to solve a case study on corporate law, prepared by the RussianLegal team. The contest was held on the basis of the PRO.Education platform of the Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy.
The case was based on a modified dispute in the case of Moskalyova M. V. versus "Aspect-Finance" CJSC, which received wide publicity and revolutionized corporate law in early 2016.
A winner was selected and awarded following an examination of the best students' written papers. Ilya Kushner, a student of the HSE, became the winner, demonstrating a good theoretical basis and flexible legal logic with convincing arguments both on the side of the beneficiary and on the side of the shareholders.
