RL Reviewed Recognition Procedures of Foreign Judgments in Russia and Some Bankruptcy Cases Focusing on Case-Related Advice for Its Client.

RussianLegal was approached by a major distributor of cleaning equipment who asked for a detailed clarification regarding the procedures for recognition and enforcement in the Russian Federation of the judgment made by a Belgian court. Having studied the judgment against the Client, RL worked out a legal position concerning the possible recognition of the judgment by a Russian court. Also, RL performed a comprehensive analysis of all available similar case laws.

In addition, RL analysed the risks related to the possible bankruptcy of the company. In particular, RL studied the risks of potential secondary liability for the company’s debts by its founder, CEO and accountant officer.
