Providing support to hep export a large batch of single-use medical masks from Russia to Israel
Upon request of the Israeli Health Ministry, our client delivered a large batch of single-use medical masks (in one 40’ container).
By the time when the cargo approached the Finnish border, the Russian Government imposed a moratorium on the exportation of masks, resulting in the container being deposited with a temporary storage warehouse.
Since the masks were shipped before the prohibition was imposed and the customs officers’ behaviour was clearly unlawful and entailed extra storage costs, the client asked us to support its exportation of the goods.
The administrative barrier was lifted and the cargo was released after the customs post’s managers were provided with evidence showing that the exportation was lawful and a note from the Israeli Ambassador.
