A Belgian plant had been producing a special disinfecting solution under a contract for seven years. Due to certain economic reasons, our client decided to relocate its production facility to Russia.

Despite the termination of the contract, the plant used our client’s know-how thus violating its intellectual property rights by producing the solution bearing the client’s trademark and independently supplying it to consumers.

We worked with the customs authorities to find the points of importation of the solution into the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) via the companies affiliated with the plant. The client’s trademark was registered with the Customs Register of Intellectual Properties, which complicated the importation of the counterfeit product.
