Kirill Ermolenko Speaks at Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Roundtable on Legal Protection for Business

Kirill Ermolenko was a speaker on the topic "The Role of a Lawyer in Settling Business Conflicts".

On September 10, 2025, a roundtable meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, to discuss current issues of legal support of business. The event brought together leading experts, members of the legal community, representatives of major public organizations, such as Opora Russia and the Russian-Turkish Dialogue Association. The moderators were Maria Suvorovskaya, Editor-in-Chief of the Russian Business Guide magazine, and Vadim Vinokurov, Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Tax Service Office for the Moscow Region.

In his presentation Kirill Ermolenko highlighted that a lawyer's key advantage is their personal detachment from the conflict. This position allows them to leverage their experience and professional knowledge to objectively assess the situation and secure a comprehensive settlement on the most favorable terms for their client.

A lawyer can be the precise figure capable of consolidating the positions of the disputing parties, which means their role in resolving the conflict is paramount. A lawyer should not be perceived as a contractor. The value of legal work performed within a rigid, predefined scope is obsolete in today's environment. The ability to negotiate and foster a constructive dialogue is crucial—it is the primary guarantee that the agreements reached will be honored.
